Rachel Zegler To Star In Evita At The London Palladium

There's Nothing You Can Take From Her!
The Golden Globe icon has been making her mark in musicals since appearing in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story in 2014. After winning the 10th Annual Hunger Games in The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, being announced to star as Snow White in 2025, and making her Broadway debut in Romeo + Juliet with Kit Connor on Broadway, it has been announced that Zegler will make her West End debut as Eva Peron in Jamie Lloyd's revival of Evita at the London Palladium from 14 June to 6 September 2025.
What Is The Show About?
Zegler commented: "Evita has been such an important musical to me since I was a little girl, when my dad and I would sing Don't Cry for Me Argentina' together on my back patio. The opportunity to bring Jamie Lloyd's singular, visionary ideas to life onstage is an honour unlike any other. The stage has always felt like home to me, and I can't wait to make my West End debut in such great company."
Tony Nominee Jamie Lloyd's revival premiered at 2019's Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, stunning audiences with its new and thrilling take on the classic, incorporating modern-day touches, twerking, spray cans, ticker tape, and more. Fabian Aloise's choreography brings a new twist to beloved songs, such as the adored "Don't Cry For Me Argentina", "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" and more, sure to leave you singing and dancing all the way home!
Based on a true story, the people of Argentina mourn the loss of their First Lady Eva Peron. A citizen, who looks upon Eva in a different, less adoring light, takes it upon himself to tell the story of Evita, with the intention of proving her inadequacy.
Please note: Please note that the role of Eva Pern will not be played by Rachel Zegler for this performance.
