Disney Announces The Greatest Showman Musical!

Disney has announced that The Greatest Showman will be adapted into a full-stage musical. The announcement was revealed over the weekend at Disney's. D23 Expo 2024. The original film, which premiered in late 2017, stars Hugh Jackman, Zendaya, Zac Efron, and Keala Settle, and tells the story of circus entertainer PT Barnum and his climb to the top of the entertainment business. Directed by Michael Gracey, the film was a monumental success, earning $435 million globally. The film features popular songs like "The Greatest Show," "A Million Dreams," "Rewrite the Stars," and "From Now On".
Although the creative team and cast haven't yet been announced, the composers for the original movie musical, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, were spotted in London alongside other award-winning musical theatre writers and stars. The composer duo have also worked on A Christmas Story, Dogfight and Dear Evan Hansen.
