Six Extends Socially Distanced Run By Eleven Weeks

Author AbigailAbigail, November 25th, 2020

The hit musical celebrates an 11-week extension at the Lyric Theatre.

After an uncertain year, we can finally spread the good news that Six has extended its run at London's Lyric Theatre by 11 weeks! The hit British creation, written by Lucy Moss and Toby Marlow is scheduled to open at the London venue on 5 December. It will now run through to 18 April 2021 instead of the previously scheduled 31 January, before heading back to its original London home (the Arts Theatre) from 20 April.

Boasting to be the first show to reopen on the West End (providing that London isn't put into Tier Three from 3 of December) this production of Six will also boast of some shiny new features, including some fresh costume alterations and some new stage elements. Director Lucy Moss says that this Lyric Theatre production will be "the shiniest version of Six yet!"

The production, which was scheduled to open on Broadway in 2020, is also hoping to kick off their UK tour in Salford in December.

 What is Six about?

Henry VIII's hunt for an heir and his love of beheadings has made him one of the most famous monarchs in Britain's history with the tale of his six unfortunate wives the stock of any school history lesson. Created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, Six tells the story of these famous women.

Tickets are now on sale for Six at the Lyric Theatre.
