What Is Guys And Dolls About?

A swinging tale of gangsters, gamblers, and molls, Guys and Dolls is one of the all-time classic American musicals. The show originally premiered on Broadway in 1950 and picked up five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Five years later it was adapted for the silver screen with Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. The story follows the escapades of gamblers Nathan and Sly, who are prepared to bet it all for love. Set on the glittering, jazz-age streets of New York, Guys and Dolls features some iconic musical theatre numbers, including 'Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat,' 'Luck Be a Lady'.

Groundbreaking

Just the three visits for me, all immersive, and planning more. As a seasoned theatre goer I've never left a theatre on such a high, Mormon, Hamilton....etc...all excellent but this just raises the bar, took me days to recover. I now have the cast recording to keep me going in between visits! Quite possibly the best thing I've ever seen on stage/stages, you get so involved, you know the characters and I got to dance (briefly) with Miss Adelaide at the end. The entire production is utterly magnificant and the design/layout at the Bridge theatre has set the standard. ... Read more

Absolutely brilliant!

I'm not a great fan of musicals tbh, but this production of Guys and Dolls at the Bridge theatre was terrific. The vocals, particularly by Cedric, were stunning. The cast seemed to be really enjoying the performance and this was truly infectious. Would highly recommend this fantastic immersive experience. ... Read more

Easily the best thing I've ever seen

Easily the best thing I’ve ever seen. I had an immersive ticket and would recommend this - try to stand near the middle - incredibly exciting, I was grinning from start to finish. Acting, choreography, singing, live band - all mwah mwah mwah. You even get to dance at the end. It’s utterly irresistible, every song’s a banger and VOICES people - talent everywhere you look. Yes I loved the *rocking* rocking the boat number and everything that Adelaide sings, and the crazy night in Havana - who doesn’t love pure sass on a stick? But for me, the More I cannot give you song was the loveliest moment - such a cute dad figure. I doubt you’ll be able to get a ticket any more, but if you can you’ll be saying ‘I do’ all the way. ...
