Why see Pippin?

Finding your own corner of the sky

The Summer of Love rides again as Stephen Schwartz's vaudevillian-inspired musical returns to London this July, in this glorious new revival directed by Steven Dexter, with the blessing of Schwartz himself. Set in the heyday of the hippie movement, 1967, Pippin is a tale of discovering your passions and following your dreams - a perfect escapist tonic for these strange days!

Originally directed by the great Bob Fosse (Chicago) this new production tells us the story of young Prince Pippin and his adventures through a band of Vaudeville players who promise the audience a finale they will never forget...

What is the story?

Pippin, the heir to his father's throne, returns from university certain to find a fulfilling purpose in life. Pippin dabbles in a bloody battle, lusty sexual entanglements, and savvy political maneuvers, only to discover that finding the meaning of true happiness is more complicated than he thought.
