The Globe 2025 summer season brings Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes's take on the Bard's timeless love story Romeo and Juliet - only this time with a Wild West twist. Chaotic saloon fights and wild celebrations spiral into deadly shootouts and ruthless vengeance as a fractured town nears its last stand.

What Is The Story?

Holmes is sure to bring a dynamic and invigorating vision to Shakespeare's familiar tale of the star-crossed young lovers. Juliet is the daughter of the respected noble house Capulet, whilst Romeo is the son of the noble house Montague, making them mortal enemies thanks to an age old blood feud. But the youngsters still fall deeply in love, spelling trouble and tragedy and bloodshed for all those involved.
