Sophisticated and oh-so suave conman Lawrence Jameson's luxury lifestyle comes crashing down when larger-than-life Freddy Benso arrives on his turf - the highly lucrative Summer season on the French riviera. A completely different type of conman altogether, Benso makes up for what he lacks in charm and style with all-American brashness and a tenacity even Jameson initially finds intimidating.

Soon, the two swindlers find themselves going head to head in the con of their lives, pulling out all of the stops in a bid to win the affections Christine Colgate, a beautiful millionaire soap heiress who might just have a few tricks of her own up her (perfectly styled) sleeve.
