Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Why see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels?

Three-Time Olivier Winner Robert Lindsay Shines

Tony and Olivier Award winner Robert Lindsay wows in the British premiere of this hit comedic musical. He stars alongside Rufus Hound and Katherine Kingsley, the three perfectly cast in this brilliant adaptation of the classic film set on the French Riviera where two duelling conmen compete to swindle an innocent heiress.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is based on the hit 1980s film of the same name, which starred Sir Michael Caine and Steve Martin, and earned Michael Caine a Golden Globe nomination. Prepare to be swept to the beautiful French Riviera for a night of sumptuous sets and costumes, and endless laughs thanks to the impeccable comedic timing of its two male leads.

What is Dirty Rotten Scoundrels About?

Sophisticated and oh-so suave conman Lawrence Jameson's luxury lifestyle comes crashing down when larger-than-life Freddy Benso arrives on his turf - the highly lucrative Summer season on the French riviera. A completely different type of conman altogether, Benso makes up for what he lacks in charm and style with all-American brashness and a tenacity even Jameson initially finds intimidating.

Soon, the two swindlers find themselves going head to head in the con of their lives, pulling out all of the stops in a bid to win the affections Christine Colgate, a beautiful millionaire soap heiress who might just have a few tricks of her own up her (perfectly styled) sleeve. Do they have any idea what the're in for?

An Unmissable Night out on the West End

With a full orchestra and ensemble cast of twenty supporting the five featured characters, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a sublime combination of the more traditional elements that make a musical successful - a clever plot with several twists, scene-stealing musical numbers and thoroughly enjoyable comedy of the sort your Grandmother used to enjoy at the theatre.

For those that appreciate musical theatre for its costumes, sets, songs and dance, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will deliver... and then some!
