The Royal Ballet celebrate Christopher Wheeldon
Named as the first ever resident choreographer for the New York City Ballet in 2001, Christopher Wheeldon is something of a luminary within the world of contemporary dance. The Royal Ballet's Ballet To Broadway is a smorgasbord of vignettes taken from Wheeldon's eclectic catalogue, highlighting the choreographer's versatility and range, a true testament to his prodigious, world renowned reputation.
The production is made up of four individual pieces: the shimmering and luminescent "Fool's Paradise", an ode to the music of Joni Mitchel takes shape in the duet "Just The Two of US", the intimate and tender "Us" and finally the ballet scene from the Tony Award-winning production "An American in Paris".
For an opportunity to see the very best of Wheeldon's works, Ballet to Broadway has it all and more.
