How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at Royal Festival Hall

Why see How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying?

FROZEN'S KRISTOFF IN A LONDON CONCERT!

Broadway and Frozen star Jonathan Groff will be headlining a very special musical concert performance at Royal Festival Hall this May, taking on the hugely popular role of J Pierrepoint Finch, which our very own Daniel Radcliffe performed on Broadway after leaving Harry Potter. With all the songs and musical numbers without being a fully-staged musical, this is a perfect opportunity to see this stage veteran show off his talents on this side of the Atlantic, in a pared-down version of the story of a 1960s New York window cleaner, who buys a book about rising up the corporate ladder.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

When a young and lowly New York window cleaner happens on a self-help guide to help him traverse his way up the corporate ladder, he finds his life taking turns that he never thought possible, dodging obstacles such as two brazen rivals and his lack of business know-how. He even manages to catch the eye of the glamourous secretary. But as his personal and professional life begin to blend, he finds himself in need of his charm rather than the book, which leads to some very dangerous yet comical situations!

Although not a fully-staged musical, this elegant staging follows the examples of the live Les Miserables 25th Anniversary and Sweeney Todd concerts, providing all the music and singing of the original.

DID YOU KNOW?

The show originally opened in 1961, and has seen two revivals so far on Broadway; one in 1995 starring Matthew Broderick and Megan Mulally, and in 2011 with Daniel Radcliffe, in his first role since leaving the Harry Potter series. Another Glee star has since taken on the role; Darren Criss took over from Radcliffe, before handing over to Nick Jonas before the run closed.
