Peter Pan

Why see Peter Pan?

Journey To The World Of Never Land

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre season begins with a revival of Sheader and Liam Steel's Olivier award nominated production of Peter Pan. This production retells the story by J. M. Barrie in a World War 1 medical shelter. When this production first ran in 2015 at the theatre, the show received five star reviews.

Imagination is the only escape for the wounded soldiers of World War 1. As they're transported to the pirate ships and tranquil island of Never Land, the war they've left behind is still very present.

Did You Know?

George Llewelyn Davies was one of children who inspired J. M. Barrie to create the iconic character of Peter Pan and The Lost Boys. Davies was killed in action in the first World War.

If you want a traditional panto go to your local theatre and a matinee as this one is for the more mature audience . It also states parental discretion is advised due to innuendo and with Julian clary it’s obvious what sort. In my eyes it is the funniest panto ever and I book for it every year ... Read more

Christmas Cheer

Excellent Panto, I saw this last night and probably the best panto I have seen. I am regular at the Wimbledon Theater Xmas Panto and this is by far the most entertaining one I have seen. Panto has always had a tradition of bad acting and camp delivery so don't go expecting a Tony award winning performance, it annoys me that other reviews have been so scaring. Best bits for me were the singing trio, The Baywatch and Knightrider references and the American Indian dance. True - the story line was a bit weak, but still kept me captivated with the random song selection and celebrity watching on stage. Definitely a panto that the Adults can enjoy as much as the children! ... Read more
