A Tale Of Two Cities

Tim Sheader celebrates 10 years at Open Air Theatre
Why see A Tale Of Two Cities?
Part of the Dickens Uncovered season
As part of the 2017 Open Air Theatre, Timothy Sheader marks 10 years in charge with the Dickens Uncovered series, which includes a glorious new production of A Tale Of Two Cities. Set during the turbulence of the French Revolution, the action flows back and forth between London and Paris where parallels between the strife-filled conflict between rich and poor are drawn in each society. A searing indictment of social inequality between the downtrodden peasants and pampered aristocracy, this is Dickens at his finest, and most culturally relevant. This production is itself adapted for the stage by Matthew Dunster.
