What is the story?

The iconic tent is open for another year and ready to accept this year's clutch of hopefuls. With backstories as layered as a wedding cake, a policeman, a carer, a sixth-former, a retired dinner lady, an environmentalist vegan, and an Italian fashionista will all discover the joy of friendships forged over tricky bakes and under the eyes of the judges.
