Sing Street

Why see Sing Street?

Rock & Roll Is A risk

Step back in time to Dublin in the 1980s with this coming-of-age, feel-good musical, inspired by John Carney's Golden Globe-nominated film of the same name that also boasts a 95% critic score across all major publications!

Tony Award-winning creators Edna Walsh (Book) and Rebecca Taichman (Director) are joined by Gary Clark and Carney, the original film's composers, for the show's London Hammersmith run, which has reportedly undergone a big refresh! With an Off-Broadway run nominated for two Drama League Awards, Sing Street is London's next big musical with a huge heart - one you need in your life.

So, What's The Story?

Sing Street initially had plans for Broadway, however, it had to hang up the microphone (just for the time being) due to the Pandemic. Luckily fans can still enjoy the Broadway cast album which was released, and is the perfect listen whilst you make plans to see the Hammersmith run!

Forget 'dead-end Dublin', the kids are doing it all with music. Sing Street follows Irish schoolboy Connor, who forms a band to impress the mysterious new girl at school, whilst also wanting to escape the harsh realities of 1985 Dublin. Sing Street is a love letter to the ever-changing decade and its music, a witty comedy about the awkwardness of adolescence, pumped with some much beloved Irish charm.
