London Cirque du Cabaret, AKA The Tassel Club, returns for a third consecutive year after a residency at the famous Pigalle Club and sell-out shows as part of 2012's London Wonderground. Voted best newcomer in the 2012 London Cabaret Awards and performed in the round in the glorious Spigel tent, the unique show seamlessly blends internationally-acclaimed comedy, circus, stylish cabaret, live music and burlesque. New acts join the line up each night, ensuring that no two shows are ever the same.
Combining irreverence and interactivity, the production distinguishes itself from other Cirque shows with its audience participation and humor. It finely balances this with a variety of adult-themed entertainments including dance, singing, acrobatics and fire eating. Acts include Cirque du Soleil star Yasura Circus and fire performer Missy Fatale.
An example evening of this tantalizing show begins with a performance from Elle and the Pocket Belles, an a capella group singing original songs and popular covers in a vintage swing style. They are followed by Slinky Sparkles, a burlesque performer providing old school glamour with her trademark routine. The evening reaches its climax with three exhilarating circus acts; Felipe Reyes dexterously ascends higher and higher into the heavens in his acrobatic show, Missy Fatale brings the heat with a masterful display of fire-breathing and the award-winning Craig the Incredible Hula Boy mesmerizes with his impressive exhibition of grace and physique.
