Collaborators Reunited

Directed by multi-Olivier and Tony Award-winner Marianne Elliott OBE (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time; Company) and designed by her regular collaborator Bunny Christie, The Unbelievers is a striking work written by Nick Payne (We Live in Time; Constellations), running at the Royal Court this Autumn. Starring BAFTA-winning actor Nicola Walker (Unforgotten, The Split), the rest of the cast will be announced in due course.

What is the story?

A teenager vanishes without a trace. In the stillness left behind, his mother is pulled between the reality of absence and the refusal to let go. The Unbelievers is a haunting meditation on both grief and hope; a story about holding on when the world insists you move on.
