Oslo

Why see Oslo?

Direct from Broadway, starring toby stephens

A new transfer from Broadway is winging its way into the Harold Pinter Theatre this October, following a limited run at the National Theatre. JT Rogers's Oslo, one of 2016's best reviewed plays first premiered off-Broadway last year before a successful run on the Great Wide Way beckoned. Tony Award-winning Bartlett Sher returns to direct this London production.

The backbone of the play is the 1993 Oslo Accords to bring peace between Israel and Palestine where Norwegian diplomat Mona Juul and her husband Terje Rod-Larsen co-ordinated the talks.

This politically adept comic thriller shows diplomats, friends and lovers from all over the world outside of the spotlight, struggling to pull in the same direction and avoid scandal! Erudite, intelligent and wholly entertaining, Oslo crafts both a thriller and warm human drama around events which had the power to change the world.

Our review

Inspiring, Emotional, Deep

An engrossing production that allows us to see right into the heart of each side of this bitter conflict. Bartlett Sher makes the most of Rogers' dialogue-heavy script thanks to an exceptionally well chosen cast in which Tony Stephens and Mona Juul shine
