East Is South

East Is South at Hampstead Theatre

Why see East Is South?

Starring Kaya Scodelario (Skins, The Gentlemen) and Cliff Curtis (Training Day, Kaos), East Is South is a thrilling new play from the brilliant mind of Beau Willimon, the acclaimed writer behind Netflix's hit show House of Cards. Dive into a world where the ethical dilemmas of artificial intelligence are brought to the forefront, promising a show that's as thought-provoking as it is gripping. With both Scodelario and Curtis making their London stage debuts, this is one performance you absolutely cannot miss!

What Is The Plot?

East Is South delves into the ethical uncertainties brought about by the rise of artificial intelligence. At its heart is 'Logos', an advanced AI rapidly approaching human-like consciousness, raising urgent questions about humanity's place in an evolving world. The plot thickens when a severe security breach occurs, leading to the interrogation of two of its coders as they grapple with the truth behind the incident.

Did You Know?

Beau Willimon, not only known for House of Cards, also wrote the 2008 play Farragut North, which inspired the hit movie The Ides of March starring George Clooney and Ryan Gosling.
