With a cast as sparkling as the gems themselves, including Al Murray, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Mel Gideroyc, Neil Morrisey, and Joe Thomas, The Crown Jewels is written by Simon Nye and directed by comedy master Sean Foley.
Detailing the wild (and true) attempt to divest the monarchy of their cherished crown by the charismatic Colonel Blood and his gang of accomplices in 1671, Nye whet our appetites, saying:
