Matthew LEWIS RETURNS TO THE WEST END
Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis makes a welcome return to the London stage following his turn in Our Boys, in this London premiere play by Belfast playwright Owen McCafferty. Mounted at the enigmatic pop-up theatre Found111 on Charing Cross Road, Unfaithful was first performed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2014 and examines the toll of betrayal on two couples as they try to make sense of their lives both as lovers, and as individual people.
Joining Lewis in his lead role as Tom is Sean Campion, theatre regular Niamh Cusack and Ruta Gedmintas, who plays his girlfriend. Billed as a "blackly comic new play", Unfaithful is directed by Watership Downs's Adam Penford, and is McCafferty's latest plays following his previous works, Scenes From The Big Picture and Shoot The Crow and Quietly, the latter of which garnered him the Fringe First Award and Writers' Guild Award For Best Play in 2013.
