The Braille Legacy

The Braille Legacy at Charing Cross Theatre

Why see The Braille Legacy?

The West premiere!

An exciting new musical biopic of the creator of the Braille language, director Thom Southerland teams up with Olivier-nominated actor Jerome Pradon who stars in the lead role. Premiering at the Charing Cross Theatre this April, the production has been supported by the Royal National Institute of Blind People and tells the inspirational and uplifting tale of Louis Braille and his tireless work in liberating the blind from social and educational isolation two hundred years ago. Through trial and error, Braille stumbled upon a brilliant, yet simple solution; through the use of touch, people, no matter what situation, or their differences, can come in from the cold and beat discrimination from able-bodied people in society.

Jerome Pradon has become something of a phenomenon in the West End, having starred in shows such as Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown, Martin Guerre, Whistle Down the Wind, The Lord of the Rings, Miss Saigon and Les Miserables; he will take on the lead role of Louis Braille in this new work.
