Glory Ride
The stunning true story of a Tour De France winner who defied the Nazis.
The good is done, but it is not said. And certain medals hang on the soul, not on the jacket.

Now showing at the Charing Cross Theatre, Glory Ride is a stunning new musical that tells a remarkable true story of one man's incredible commitment to saving lives under Mussolini's terrible regime - using a very novel way to do it.
Directed by Kelly Devine, with a score by father and daughter duo Victoria and Todd Buchholz, Glory Ride follows the life and career of Tour De France winner Gino Bartali, who, even in the spotlight as one of Italy's most revered athletes, managed to save multiple people by hiding forged identity cards and Resistance documents in his bicycle frame. Using his career as a cyclist as cover, he managed to bring freedom to many, continuing in the face of torture. His only comment on his role was: "The good is done, but it is not said. And certain medals hang on the soul, not on the jacket."
An audience and critic's pick, don't miss this soaring musical that balances humour and heart as it tells the story of this unsung hero of the Second World War.
