What Is The Story

Tina Turner's turbulent career is the stuff of music legend, with her iconic songs often masking the dramatic goings-on behind the scenes. Her inspiring story was first told in the 1993 made-for-TV movie What's Love Got to Do with It, which followed her rise to fame, and her struggle to break free from her abusive husband and manager Ike Turner. Following an incredible comeback in the early '80s, Tina is now considered to be one of the best-selling artists of all time - and the reigning Queen of Rock 'n' Roll. She has garnered 11 Grammy Awards and three Grammy Hall of Fame awards, plus a legion of fans the world over.

Tina - Simply the Best

The story is incredible and the way they interspersed the music was fantastic. I was in tears several times during the performance. I’ve probably been to 30 or more musicals in my lifetime and I can say without hesitation this was the best musical I have ever seen! ... Read more
