A fantastic show that made me laugh and cry. Very compelling and great acting. Exactly what the theatre should be. Well done to all.

Disappointing

There were at least two members of the cast whose diction was so poor that we couldn’t make out what they were saying. It is surely a foremost requirement of actors that their speech is clear. This is not an easy play to follow if the dialogue is mangled. Andronicus was played like a drunken version of Looby Loo and it was neither convincing nor entertaining. There were moments of great ingenuity and artistry but on the whole I couldn’t wait for it to end. I get that it’s an interesting experiment to put on a play like this with an all female cast but sadly in the end it was just a bit feeble and lacked grip.

Bad school play

A concept doth not a production make. So pleased with itself and lazy. Two people seem to understand what they were saying the rest just winking at the audience. Truly terrible

An abomination

I have never walked out of a play, not even left without applauding. Until now. I was really looking forward to a Tarantinoesque Shakespearean tragedy. This was awful. Rubbish casting, inaudible at times, prancing around, frivolous songs replacing Shakespearean lines (135 lines missing from the end), creating farce where no humour belongs....I could go on. And is the all-female cast supposed to be something deeper than an anti-men statement ? I've been to The Globe 4 times in the past 6 months. I've never seen better than 3* there. But I would have given this zero stars if I could. Will think twice now about returning.

Disgrace

Michelle Terry, I hold you responsible for this nonsense. As Artistic Director to the Globe , how on earth can you allow this shambolic travesty of a challenging play to be put on.You are Artistic Director of the Globe!!! We left at the interval as we couldn't stand it any longer. An all woman task was a very interesting idea, but that is where thought stopped . Some of the acting was amongst the worst I have seen. You know how weak it is, please be stronger!!!

Absolutely terrible

Ghastly reimagining of this tragedy as a musical comedy - what are the RSC thinking? I almost don’t know where to start it’s so bad - I’ve seen better school plays. A total insult to Shakespeare. Muddled, thoroughly misjudged and unwatchable- I can’t imagine a worse production- nothing to recommend it.
