Deserves another run
Watched the final night of the run, what fun, loved the songs, and thought Darren Day really did sing Nillson’s without you so well. In a larger venue it will require a bigger cast and improved dancing but we, and I think nearly everyone in the theatre had a really good night, and that’s what theatre should be.
Great from start to finish
We knew who Twiggy was but did not know her story and what a story the show was great absolutely brilliant. We were drawn in from the very beginning. The actors the music the outfits just brilliant. Would definitely go and see again .
Nostalgic and very entertaining.
Our first visit to the Menier and the theatre felt intimate and guarantees close up views. What a fantastic show !. Ignore the professional critics as they have no idea what true entertainment is. Elena Skye plays Twiggy superbly and has real charisma in the lead role. She is supported by a fantastic cast and great choreography. Anyone who loved the hits of the 60,s and 70,s plus one or two more up to date songs will love this show. Ben Elton’s script is clever and funny moving her story at a good pace and yes the music can be a bit cheesy in its placement, but it works. The singing is excellent and the set is simple but effective. My wife and I are fortunate to see west end shows regularly but this turned out to be one of the most enjoyable we have seen in years. It’s only on till November so I urge you to see it. You will not be disappointed.
Twiggy the Musical
I went to see Twiggy the Musical on Friday 13 October 2023. I was pleasantly surprised it was a wonderful evening the lead was brilliant as were all the cast. The play drew you in and I felt really relaxed as if I was at home watching the show. I learnt a lot about Twiggy and will recommend the show to all that I meet.
Great story and great music
We really enjoyed the show. Typical Ben Elton script but well interwoven with the story and songs (mostly!) of the era. Great cast and choreography. Second act a bit overlong with two much backstory on 1st husband (a minor gripe but maybe something to consider before West End transfer!)
Wonderful show!
I have seen the show twice now and enjoyed immensely. Fantastic cast, script, songs and talent all the way! Not to be missed!
