Dracula: A Comedy of Errors Brings a Star-Studded Cast to the West End

Author KevinKevin, January 13th, 2025

This blood-pumping, 90-minute thrill ride puts Count Dracula in a new light - as a Gen Z pansexual grappling with an existential crisis

A fang-tastic makeover of an immortal classic, Bram Stoker's horror staple is finally sinking its teeth into the West End following a delightfully devilish Off-Broadway run.

Who Is The Cast?

This gender-bending, campy reimagining stars Toronto Theatre Critics Award winner James Daly as Dracula, reprising the role he originated during the show's Off-Broadway debut. Daly's stage credits include La Cage aux Folles, Wendy and Peter Pan, Damn Yankees, and Cabaret, among many others.

Joining him is Safeena Ladha as Lucy Westfeldt, whose notable performances include The 39 Steps (UK Tour & Trafalgar), SHE (UK Tour & Omnibus), and The Great Gatsby (Immersive Everywhere).

BroadwayWorld Award winner Dianne Pilkington takes on the role of Dr. Westfeldt, with an impressive resume that features The Wizard of Oz, Only Fools and Horses, Young Frankenstein, and Mamma Mia!

Three-time Olivier Award nominee Charlie Stemp plays Jonathan Harker, adding his star power from celebrated roles in Kiss Me, Kate and Crazy for You.

What Is The Story?

English estate agent Jonathan Harker travels to Transylvania to meet his latest client, Count Dracula, who seems to be in the midst of an existential crisis and seeks to find his place in the world. Unfortunately for him, famous vampire hunter Jean Van Helsing is hot on his trail. Dracula proves to be a real pain in the neck as she chases him from Transylvania to England and beyond.
