The stage prequel to the 80s-inspired TV series has released a spine-tingling new trailer alongside news of its West End extension! Stranger Things will now run through February 2025 at London's Phoenix Theatre.

Described as the West End event of the year' by The Daily Telegraph, the five-star hit has been nominated for numerous Olivier Awards, securing victories for Best Comedy or Entertainment and Best Set Design, and has been turning the West End upside down ever since.

About Stranger Things: The First Shadow


Set in 1959, Stranger Things features younger versions of characters such as Jim Hopper, Joyce Maldonado, Bob Newby, and Henry Creel. In an ordinary town filled with everyday concerns, young Jim Hopper struggles with a car that won't start, Bob Newby's sister dismisses his radio show, and Joyce Maldonado is desperate to graduate and leave town. When new student Henry Creel and his family arrive, they discover that escaping their past is harder than they thought, as old shadows linger long.

With an original story crafted by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne, and Kate Trefry, the play is penned by Trefry and directed by Stephen Daldry, with co-direction by Justin Martin.

The production's creative team includes scenic design by Miriam Buether, costume design by Brigitte Reiffenstuel, lighting design by Jon Clark, sound design by Paul Arditti, illusions and visual effects design by Jamie Harrison and Chris Fisher, and more.
