Inside No 9 - Stage Fright

Inside No 9 - Stage Fright at Wyndhams Theatre

Why see Inside No 9 - Stage Fright?

Get ready for a fright

Get ready for a highly uncomfortable night in the theatre as horror aficionados Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton return to tread the boards in this brand-new play, coming to the West End's Wyndham's Theatre in January 2025.

Titled 'Inside No 9 - Stage/Fright' the new venture will see the pair mine their award-winning BBC TV series to create an arresting stage show. While the show is still in development, Pemberton summed it up as: "We are currently writing the script even as it goes on sale, but we are certain there will be plenty of new material and surprises for fans and new-comers alike. There'll be something old, something new, something butchered and something...BOO"

Premiering back in 2014, Shearsmith and Pemberton's Inside No 9 is an on going anthology series that sees a new set of characters enter into a varying set of creepy circumstances. Be it a group of adults playing Sardines, or a seance, each episode develops into Hitchcockian style horror - and beyond.

A Macabre Delight for Inside No. 9 Fans

Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith’s Inside No. 9: Stage/Fright at Wyndham’s Theatre is a darkly comedic treat that brings their beloved anthology series to the stage. The show masterfully blends humor and horror, featuring nods to classic episodes like “Bernie Clifton’s Dressing Room” and introducing new material that keeps audiences on their toes. Their sharp wit shines through, especially in their playful jabs at West End conventions and celebrity culture. While the structure leans heavily on familiar sketches, the production’s self-awareness and theatrical flair make it a must-see for die-hard fans. With its clever twists and atmospheric staging, Stage/Fright offers a unique and entertaining night out. ... Read more
