The Sunshine Boys

The Sunshine Boys at Savoy Theatre

Why see The Sunshine Boys?

A PITCH-PERFECT PRODUCTION

With star casting and a barrelful of laughs, The Sunshine Boys is back in the West End. This classic comedy by Neil Simon, one of America's most successful playwrights, is set in the early days of TV and sees the reunion of two cantankerous comedians who, amidst rivalry and resentment, hate to admit they might actually rely on each other.

WHO ARE THE SUNSHINE BOYS AND WHAT?S THEIR STORY?

Quirky comedians Willie Clark and Al Lewis broke up their old vaudeville double act after a 43-year partnership over petty things and haven't spoken to each other since. Now, eleven years later, the stubborn pair is grudgingly brought back together by a TV special on the history of comedy. But for two bitter grouches, with whopping egos and reignited rivalry, it's difficult enough being in the same room, let alone performing together again.

Danny is brilliant. A great night out

A fabulously funny script delivered with impecible comedic timing by Danny de vito. A little disappointed with the other two main characters, the American accent working against the tried and tru stage presence of Richard G. Overall believable and a very funny show. Highly recommended just to see classic Danny de Vito. DQ Australia. ... Read more
