The Time Traveller's Wife

Why see The Time Traveller's Wife?

West End premiere

Audrey Niffeneger's spellbinding novel enjoys a new life this autumn when it transfers to the Apollo Theatre, making its much anticipated West End Bow. Adapted by Lauren Gunderson ("the most produced playwright in America") and with music and lyrics from none other than Joss Stone and Dave Stewart, the production enjoyed its UK premiere at Chester's Storyhouse last autumn and now looks set to become one of the highlights of 2023 when it opens in October!

What is the story?

A heartfelt love story, The Time Traveller's Wife is a beautifully woven tapestry of Claire and Henry, a couple with a less-than-conventional relationship. The problem? Henry is a time traveller, who, with no warning, could be thrown backward or forward into his own timeline - not exactly an easy guy to plan dates with. But as their paths cross over and over, the two forge a connection that even the unpredictability of time travel can't break.
