Rowan Atkinson is incredible! Have already booked to see this again! Be prepared to cry as the story is very sad - makes you review your opinion of those sad, lonely types we all know. I will be taking my 16 year old daughter next time. Brilliant!

How true

Having served in a Common Room as a young teacher in the early 60s so much of this play rang true. Many individuals teaching during this period were war- damaged and eccentric and their lives were disrupted. The play is perfectly produced and the cast is brilliantly on the ball. It is not a bundle of fun and I suspect that some in the audience were expecting a light hearted Mr Bean bonanza. There are many slickly executed and subtly funny lines but the overall mood is of gloom and finally real sadness.

What a let down. So slow and uneventful. Poor Rowan Atkinson just sits in his chair the whole evening trying to make the best out of a very unfunny script. Other characters are leaden and really quite uninteresting. The ending is so predictable. Very disappointed -

Disappointing!

One of the worst performances I have ever seen. Totally overrated. Quite a few people even left after the first half. Bad acting, bad and blunt jokes. Not convincing at all. A huge disappointment.
