Noises off is hilarious
We saw Noises Off this evening. It was really well acted an excellent comedy that had us hooked into watching and enjoying. It just got funnier and funnier, the timing is amazing, it was a really good production. We thiroughly enjoyed it and still have that feel good factor acquired after much laughter. We highly recommend it! X
Immaculate timing
We saw this yesterday evening, having seen the original back in the 80s. The cast maintain the pace and timing throughout and the physicality is standout. It really is an example of great British farce. An American sitting next to us, said in the interval “I got about half of the jokesâ€. We got them all!
Hilarious
While in London we booked for Noises off mainly due to the cast and were unsure what to expect as we'd see a few negative revues. Those who left after the fist act made a big mistake. The laughs ramped up hundredfold in acts 2 and 3. My husband and I, and most of the audience were crying with laughter throughout acts 2 and 3. Perfectly cast, impeccable timing and ingenious writing. Hats off to everyone involved. We had stall tickets with a clear and close view of the stage. Would definitely recommend.
Enjoyable afternoons entertainment
Great laugh. Very fast moving. I can’t imagine how they remembered their lines and places and props very clever play. Great acting.
This is just not funny!
Oh dear! We went to see this new production, swayed by the names appearing, such as Felicity Kendall. What a mistake! It truly is awful. So much so that we left in the interval, seeing no point subjecting ourselves to another hour or so of cringingly unfunny performance. I admit I cracked a smile once, but other than that, like most of the audience around us, we sat there stony silent. There were a few sniggers around the auditorium but the jokes went largely unappreciated. It certainly wasn't hilarious, as advertised, to this audience. There was one exception, sadly being the woman sitting immediately behind us who roared with laughter and snorted at almost every line. As we stood on the landing during the interval debating wether it was worth staying, we heard numerous members of the audience saying "it's not funny". I even heard one say, "it's not funny, why is that woman laughing?" Save your time and money and go and see something else.
