So shocked by this production. Acting was appalling, but this was probably largely due to the poor direction. Where was the authenticity of the characters? Everything was superficial and ‘acted’; no depth of character, no relationships, no history, just dramatic overacting. Ironing clothes & then throwing them all in the basket, lettuce for ‘tea’, knives & forks set the wrong way round. Everything was out of place with no sense of the times. I left at the interval.
