Without giving too much away prolific aging leading man Brian Cox and Patricia Clarkson from Sixth Feet Under are the patriarchal leads in this rather dull overly long Anglo American family drama. As its been seemingly a accepted as Eugene O Neill's epic I can only assume it's just not aged very well with the pace chronically slow although the word age (as there's no drama) occurs over a day. The highlight for me was Clarkson's finely weighted understated performance and the white light ending which was a creative touch at the end by the director. Brian Cox was Brian Cox which adding to the plodding nature of the piece. One to avoid folks.
