Very limp script, lacked any sense of theatricality or subtlety. It seems as though its writer underestimated the intelligence of their audience, with absolutely EVERY exchange over explained and irritatingly repetitive. Again, the direction was poor and the actors, who all admittedly put in good performances, are let down by the sheer inadequacy of the overall piece.

Save your money, it's garbage.

I have never seen such a banal, cliched and frankly appalling piece of theatre. Nothing was remotely entertaining or challenging. All performances, with exception of the Dauphine's wife, were poor. The dance routines lacked energy and imagination and the overall direction was totally confusing (not in a good way). I cannot even give credit for being brave as it was anything but.
