I'm quite shocked to see all these 1 star reviews. This was one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life. I nearly peed my pants with how funny this was. The cast is SO talented. The audience stood up when it finished and gave a thunderous round of applause. Please do not let these 1 star reviews keep you from watching the show.

This is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. Definitely one of my top favorites. Wish they stuck around longer so I could take my friends visiting from the states during the holidays.

The show is so much fun, all the cast are brilliant and the show ended in a total standing applause. I wonder if these reviews could possibly be from JK Rowling fans?

Different

I thought it was different from anything I have seen before, but I enjoyed it, It was funny and vulgar but I expected that as the age for tickets was over 16 and the time was later,. So I knew it wasn't going to be a nice family show, not with drag queen s in it lol.

Murder chaos at St Babs

4/5

A trio of Sister Mary’s live at the convent of St Babs where secrets and weird events are happening. With an unusual visitor in the form of Father Alfie Romeo (Louis Cyfer) can the sisters solve the lurking mystery of the convent and stop the murders. The Sisters are trying to keep the convent open despite that it is at risk of closure from the Cardinal and Father Alfie Romeo. He is also trying to find the hidden treasure which is the Ring of St Babs. Cast Father Alfie Romeo played by Louis Cyfer was brilliant. He has bags of charisma and his comedic timing is second to none. In addition, the way he delivers the jokes are spot on. Mother Superior Sister Mary Kimberley Woodburn played by Victoria Scone is the protector of the younger nuns and tries to keep them on the right path. Sister Marie Julie Andrews played by Jujubee. She does not have a clue at all in terms of where she is or what she is doing. She conveys that in an excellent way. She just wants to live her Sound of Music fantasy that she has. Sister Titis played by Kitty Scott Claus and Sister Mary Berry played by Cheryl Hole. Their acting is infectious and their chemistry is evident when they are on stage together. Plot The story is easy to follow but is pretty thin. I believe that the plot could have been developed further to add more action and suspense. This could have also been the case for the characters however their personalities do shine on stage despite the weak plot. I guess what makes this show work is the energy of the cast and both the physical and slapstick humour. Sets The setting is the convent which is for the full duration of this play. It is simple and effective with some detail. A moving door was a clever idea as it moved adding humour in a different dimension to the show. Moreover, the cast use a variety of techniques in moving around the stage which ends up similar to a Morecambe and Wise sketch. Comedy This show was full of jokes from start to finish which were crude but were also hilarious in which you could not stop laughing about. Also, some of the jokes were about serious topics which are not for the faint hearted. The slapstick comedy was great and the physical comedy particularly when one of the sisters was running on the spot was full of laughs. Costumes The costumes were perfect and matched the convent setting but they were also revealing in some way. If you love Drag Race and the crude fast paced humour of the jokes then Death Drop Back in the Habit is for you.

Disappointed Not Impressed

Probably the only gay guy that hasn’t watched every episode of drag race. So there were some mini celebrities amongst the cast but I wasn’t actually aware of any of them. Saying that initially I enjoyed the costume and the characterisation and I thought the set design was very good however the script was terrible and it was just like a pantomime without song and childish humour (if you could call it that). We left in the interval, looks like others have too!
