Saw this show on Saturday. Absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to see it again. As well as the outstanding cast and the pre dancers and musicians the staff are the most accommodating and helpful people ever.

Thoroughly enjoyed this production. Cast was terrific. The evening was enhanced by the efforts of Amber, who was so pleasant and could not do enough for us (l have a mobility issue). The gentleman at the side door was also kind and attentive.

Mesmerising… a fresh take on a familiar favourite

If you are expecting (or needing) a Bob Fosse type of song n dance production with lots of razzmatazz and a reprise of Liza Minnelli’s iconic screen performance - this is not for you… Instead it is a fresh look at the subject, much more nuanced and with exceptional performances from all the cast that bring imagination and commitment to what is actually a very tawdry and seedy story. Redmayne brilliantly holds the production together and delivers a great comic first half and a suitably sinister second. For me, Jessie Buckley was the stand out performance both vocally and in the quieter moments. Really astonishing and I really hope to be able to sell the other kidney and come back again…10/10

Phenomenal

An absolutely stunning show. The overall experience was so detailed, from the moment you enter the immersive world of the Kit Kat Club, through the bars, into the auditorium and throughout the show. Tom Scutt's design work is breath taking. The director, Rebecca Frecknal's approach to the work is bold and layered relaying the story of the time but with a modern dynamic that makes it entirely relatable. The cast capture the characters brilliantly and really immerse you into their world with stunning choreography by Julia Cheng and Kayla Lomas-Kirton and a wonderful musical score by Jennifer Whyte. I won't say too much except go and experience it for yourself. A show not to be missed!

The transformation of the Playhouse into the Kit Kat club is a master stroke. Jessie Buckley’s powerful performance made me feel the pain of Sally Bowles’ character and Eddie Redmayne was equally astonishing. Absolutely fabulous!
