Customer Reviews for All My Sons

The magic of Theatre
I saw the play on Saturday evening and as the crescendo built up to all the revelations in the second half, everyone in the audience was absolutely spellbound and on the edge of their seats. I must particularly thank Zoe Wanamaker for helping me describe the pain a mother feels for a lost son, flesh of her flesh... The growing guttural howl of desperation that grew from an underground whisper to the loudest groan, straight from the stomach made my hair stand on ends and completely stirred all the emotions I feel every time my sons are hurt or in danger of being hurt. David Suchet was also in my opinion, outstanding in depicting the father figure so aptly. Mr Miller could only smile upon such a wonderfully realistic and powerful performance. Thank you for casting your spell on me and for a wonderful evening
Outstanding
Probably one of the best play i have ever seen, David Suchet is amazing and so is Zoe Wanamaker and the rest of the cast, it all went so fast that i did not realised it lasted almost two hours, stunning set and lighting and i loved the Apollo theatre. I was looking so forward to see those two actors live and my expectations were fully fulfilled.
Amazing
Everything about this play is perfect! I hung on every word right through to the end. Go and see it now!
Standing Ovation
The first standing ovation from my wife and that does not come easily. David Suchet and Zoe Wannamaker in a master class performance in acting and in truly stunning stage settings. One of the best plays we have seen in the West End. Lived up to the hype and much more... An evening to remember for a long long time...
Exquisitely Indelible!
I felt obliged to review this most compelling play having just seen the Saturday matinee 11th September 2010. However, truth be known I know very little of the arts/theatre land, not that is, as a pro critic would you understand! So this is my crude and credulous review of All our Sons in the eyes of a 35 year old stay at home mummy of four who doesn't get out much......! To say it was wonderful would seem on the surface to be an injustice, but what other words could one give? tremendous, sensational, exquisite Well it is all of these and more. I of course cried most of the way through the second act (I did say earlier I didn't get out much!) mostly in anticipation of the emotion that was to be revealed towards the end. I would be lying if I said David was not my best loved but truly the entire cast we're as equally sublime. Thank you to you all for giving me such an indelible afternoon. X
Wow
What can I say. We haven't been to the theatre in London for ages and last time was awful but my husband wanted to see this as he's never seen any Arthur Miller plays. I have but not this one. Well it kept my interst right from the start. David Suchet and Zoe Wannamaker were absolutely brilliant and I was very impressed with the young boy as well. The plot and its little twists had me changing my mind as to what would happen next every few minutes. However I never anticipated the final twist. If you haven't seen this play yet and get the chance then make sure you go. I can guarantee you won't regret it. I have never written a review before but felt I had to share my enjoyment with you.
