Author KevinKevin, January 9th, 2025

The Elektra and Cabaret stars take a seat on the big red sofa

Not one, but two theatre stars kick off the new year this Friday (10th January)! Brie Larson and Billy Porter join Tom Hiddleston and Claudia Winkleman - with music from Myles Smith - to discuss the ins and outs of their careers and (fingers crossed) current roles - we hope to hear all about the juicy backstage action!

About Brie Larson in Elektra

As old as time itself, this is one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2025! The first revival in over a decade of Sophocles' tragedy - originally written between 420 and 414 BC - sees Oklahoma! frontman Daniel Fish directing superstar Brie Larson, who you may know from her roles in blockbusters such as Room and Captain Marvel. Award-winning poet Anne Carson lends her voice as narrator.

The story follows Electra, tormented by the brutal murder of her father. Consumed by overwhelming grief, a fierce will to endure, and an unrelenting thirst for revenge, she is driven to the brink. When her long-lost brother, Orestes, finally returns, she urges him toward a chilling and violent resolution - but at what cost?

About Billy Poter In CabareT

Now that's fabulous!

Kinky Boots and Pose icon, activist, actor, and all-around entertainment powerhouse Billy Porter will step into the role of the Emcee from 28 January 2025, joining Marisha Wallace as Sally Bowles on the same date.

The seven-time Olivier Award-winning revival is still going strong - daring, bold, and everything you could hope for from the Kander and Ebb classic. This immersive production takes place in the specially adapted Playhouse Theatre, bringing to life the story of an American writer and an entrancing showgirl who find themselves in Weimar-era Berlin as the shadow of fascism looms over the country.

The artists, creatives, freaks, and outcasts must fight to seize every last moment of freedom before the rise of the Nazis change their world forever
