it's zany, outrageous, mad. A rampant farce, and utterly life-affirming

The glittering doors to La Cage Aux Follies are open in this brand new translation of Jean Poiret's classic play by Simon Callow, marking its English language world premiere in February 2020. That's right although the fabulous farce is represented by four hit films and a Tony-winning musical, it has never been staged as a play in English before.
The best of times is now - the story of La Cage Aux Follies
Whilst their extravagant shows at their St. Tropez nightclub are the talk of the town, owner Georges and his partner, Drag artiste Albin face the performance of a lifetime when Georges' son Laurent announces his intention to marry the daughter of a local right-wing politician. With the in-laws on the way, it's up to the duo to stage a 'straight' lifestyle, to fit in. But for whose benefit? With the charade wearing thin, it's up to Georges to confront Laurent about the scheme and stand up for himself and Albin in the face of bigotry.
Vibrant, hilarious and a celebration of living life the way you want to, don't miss what is sure to a highlight of The Park's 2020 programming.
