...it's a scathing, occasionally sidesplitting and not precisely subtle indictment of the baby boomer generation and the havoc it has heedlessly wrought.

Celebrated Irish theatre maker Rachel O' Riordan celebrates her inaugural season as the new artistic director of the Lyric Hammersmith with a groundbreaking series of thought-provoking and highly entertaining productions. Employing a hands on approach, she directs a major new revival of British tragicomedy Love, Love, Love as part of the season, bringing the award-winning inter-generational clash to the stage with its subject matter feeling more relevant then ever.
Charting the lives of a baby boomer couple Kenneth and Sandra, Love, Love, Love follows the stubborn duo from the free-loving late 60s, where they met with much optimism and hope, through to their marriage and rather amiable divorce. As the innocence and idealism of their youth gives way to a narcissistic sense of entitlement to the world and its contents, their children grow up themselves and begin to rail against what they see as an irresponsible way of interacting with the world.
