The classic fairytale gets a modern musical update!
The classic fairytale gets a modern musical update!
Christmas 2019 certainly might prove the season of Cinderella productions in the capital, but none are quite like Stiles and Drewe's enchanting modern musical adaptation, dropping its slipper at the Charing Cross Theatre from November.
Set in the heart of the titular Soho, our 'Cinders' is now Robbie, a poor student paying his way through uni with an 'unorthodox' job. When said job puts him in the path of the aspiring politician James, so begins a love story ripe with political havoc, sex scandals and more. The path to true love never does run smooth, but if we know our fairytales - it's always darkest before the ball!
With a catchy score from the deliciously talented duo and a warmly witty book from Elliot Davis, if you're going to see one Cinderella show this year - let it be this one.
